ONEbox Narcan devices set for distribution in Walker County

ree

A Birmingham, Alabama based organization in Walker County plans to deploy OneBox devices equipped with Narcan, the lifesaving medication that can reverse opioid overdoses.

Local officials and community partners aim to place the kits in high-traffic public locations and share basic training so more residents feel prepared to act in an emergency. The move reflects a broader push to make overdose response faster, simpler, and widely accessible—turning bystanders into potential first responders and saving lives across the county.
