HUNTINGTON, WV (WOWK) – Susan Bissett, known for her dedication to the higher education world and for her efforts towards targeting the opioid epidemic, is one of four finalists in the 2024 Remarkable Women Contest.

“A remarkable woman to me is someone that goes above and beyond what the average person does and put others before themselves, and that is Susan to a T,” said Jan Rader, who has remained close friends with Bissett since they met in 2015.

Bissett’s heart for targeting the opioid epidemic, one of West Virginia’s biggest threats, has been her driving force for years.
